Absorbing God Word
“Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the plots of evildoers. They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim bitter words like arrows.” Psalm 64:2-3
Applying God’s Word
Like so many others, I went from being an innocent and open young boy to a very isolated and private young man. I was tired of being crushed by non-caring individuals. I surrounded myself with thick emotional walls, being very careful not to share anything that allowed others to hurt me.
Jesus has called me to be more open and transparent about the many different aspects of my life and I have been obedient to that call. However, I was naïve in thinking that I could do so in a world that still offered some semblance of privacy. Not!
I am no longer on Twitter, Facebook, Linked-In, etc. and have moved away from platforms that track my every move. Other than God, I don’t want someone listening to me or watching me without my knowledge. Even Jesus went off by himself for privacy. I must say, rediscovering privacy has been an incredible blessing.
Accounting of God’s Word
Have I broken away from today’s “No Privacy” platforms? What am I waiting for?
