“Under Attack”?

Absorbing God Word

“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.”  1 Peter 4:12

Applying God’s Word

No one gets out of this life without trials. We may come under attacked spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally or financially. It’s easy to believe in God when we are not under attack. It’s a lot tougher when fear and anxiety tear apart our defenses.

Numerous circumstances have brought me to my knees weeping and crying out to God. There have also been attacks on others I love that make me wonder if God is hearing my prayers for mercy.

A good friend of mine, a great Christian soldier currently deployed abroad, has become very ill. The military is trying to help, but they are not comfortable with airlifting him back home.

Paul and I have been talking and praying daily by phone for two weeks without a break-through. I beg your prayers for his healthy return to his wife Novi in Tennessee. Thank you in advance.

Accounting of God’s Word

Have I ever been surprised by a sudden attack or an ordeal that God has rescued me from?
