“Choices”

Absorbing God Word

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Applying God’s Word

Months of meeting with God went by before I recognized that God’s plan for me was much different than the plan I was living. In living out God’s plan, I would have to surrender to God’s authority in my relationships, time, work, money, possessions, reputation, liberty and will.

God was asking me to live out His will in all the areas of my life. That meant transformation, which scared me. It meant being held accountable by others, becoming transparent and saying goodbye to flying solo.

I’m still learning how to surrender to God’s will. He teaches me to do that moment to moment, one encounter to the next. All my choices are made on the battlefield of two kingdoms, good and evil. God’s given me the free will to choose.

Accounting of God’s Word

Am I willing to be transformed to do God’s will? Is God involved in all my choices? Who is holding me accountable?
