Absorbing God Word
“But the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23
Applying God’s Word
After allowing God’s forgiveness and love to penetrate my entire being, some men prayed over me for the release of God’s Holy Spirit. I didn’t even know it was available to me. And no, I didn’t levitate, speak in tongues or break into holy laughter. I did experience the incredible power of God’s presence, though. That alone, inspired my lasting intimate friendship with Jesus.
Over the years, my faith in God has grown by meeting with Him and meditating on His “Word/Truth”. The fruit of that process has been more of “God’s Love”. If His love is not evident when God is using me, I know that I am probably not operating under the power of His Holy Spirit.
How can we receive more of God’s Holy Spirit? We can do that by asking and by answering three questions. 1) Do I reject Satan and all sin? 2) Do I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior? 3) Do I want God to release in me the full power of His Holy Spirit? Ask and answer from your heart!
