“ACT”

Absorbing God’s Word

“My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

Applying God’s Word

The “Gifts of the Holy Spirit” are very real and very powerful. I don’t always realize when God is manifesting Himself through the power of his Spirit. When I do, though, it is incredible.

The other morning, I felt the Holy Spirit urging me to call a friend that I had not talked with in a while. I called and told my friend that the Holy Spirit urged me to call. He thanked me saying that he woke up that morning with a terrible pain in his jaw. Prayer took over from there.

God wants us to be aware of what His Spirit wants to do through us. We can’t possibly know what that is without a willingness to ACT on what we hear.

Accounting of God’s Word

Do I sense the urging of God’s Holy Spirit? Am I acting on what I hear?
