Absorbing God’s Word
“He must become greater; I must become less.” John 3:30
Applying God’s Word
When Louise and I eat at our club restaurant, we enjoy talking with the servers. More often than not, we give them copies of the different Christian books we distribute.
Recently, a server asked if we had given some of the books to his mother. Unsure, we asked who his mother is. He told us she is the office manager at an orthopedic surgeon’s office, the same surgeon that performed Louise’s knee surgery.
On the last visit to Louise’s doctor, we noticed that the server’s mother was wearing a wristband with John 3:30 on it. So, we gave her a few books. She in turn went home and offered one of them to her son. He smiled and told her that he already had a copy.
God sure makes it easy. We just have to tell God that we are available and then open our hearts to the situations He presents us with.
Accounting of God’s Word
Is God becoming greater in my life? Am I becoming less? Am I afraid to tell God that I am available?
