Galatians 2:20 – “CIC and Me”?

Absorbing God’s Word

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Applying God’s Word

I made a Christians in Commerce Challenge Weekend in April of 1987. The experience turned me upside down and inside out. It screamed at me to turn my life around and to do so through daily prayer and by the power of the Holy Spirit. I left that weekend frightened and confused about the man I had become. I was forty years old, had a wonderful family and owned a business. I was also lost in a world of materialism and was accountable to no one.

That weekend gave me some simple tools for daily prayer and taught me the importance of being accountable. Thirty-two years later those simple tools for daily prayer are still at work in my life. I am also, still being held accountable by some of the same incredible men of CIC and God’s Holy Spirit is more present than ever.

You cannot put a price tag on following Jesus Christ or on a ministry like CIC. They are both invaluable. Don’t leave home without them!

Accounting of God’s Word

What part of my life have I given to the one who died for me?
